Treat Yo Self Tuesday: Spring Treats

Happy Treat Yo Self Tuesday! While unfortunately, I highly doubt I will actually be able to treat myself to any of these, a gal can dream!

I've been obsessed with the idea of flower crowns lately, as most of the interent has. I really would like to invest in one, but I'm not sure I could actually pull one off without looking ridiculous. But this one, oh my goodness, is it gorgeous.

So I actually lied earlier when I said that I probably wouldn't really be getting any of these fun spring treats. I actually have already bought some of these seed bombs! I thought this would be a neat gift idea for my mom's birthday, so bought a pack of 100 and kept some for myself. I planted a few in a pot a few months ago and have kept them watered and by a sunny window and they've been making magic. I love the colors and they make for a quick, fun afternoon activity!

Now, I've never heard any reviews about the functionality of these ukes, but I've been drooling over them for a few years now. The creator has different shapes available like avocados  cupcakes, and sharks! They're absolutely gorgeous.

When making this list, I was trying to find only things that were still readily available for purchase. This striking origami wreath is currently sold out, but there are still many other nice color combinations up for grabs in the artist's shop. I chose to stick with this specific wreath because the pastels send me over the moon.

If I could wear any dress this spring/summer, it would be Leah Goren's wonderful black cat dress!

Did perhaps I fib in the last statement? This dress is absolutely a dream come true! The stunning yellow will keep things sunny on even the dreariest of days!

In My Room

After graduating from the New England School of Communications last spring, I moved into a house in Manchester, New Hampshire with three friends: Lyza, Lowell, and Josh. The house is about a hundred years old and has been in Lyza's family for generations. The basement used to be a general store and there's still an old meat locker and many other creepy things down there. (Please don't let there be any ghosts reading this over my shoulder...)

When we got here, the house hadn't been lived in for a few years and it was desperately in need of some attention. Many days were spent stripping wallpaper and adding new color. Many more were spent saying "Today will be the day that I finally unpack!" And about six months later, I actually did it.

Small door to attic space and one of my favorite features of the room: an oddly angled window

Closet door and more oddly shaped angles

This is currently what my workspace looks like.

I treated myself to a nice bouquet of pretty spring flowers!
Ever since I was little, I was never one who spent much time in my room. I didn't like being alone. I had to be were the action was. But now that I've designed and decorated my own space, I find myself alone in here way more than I should! It's so wonderful to start from scratch.

Returning Home

Since Tory and Will both had to work late this morning, Josh and I headed back to Manchester a bit earlier than we hoped. But not before stopping for some more Vietnamese food to take with us!

Josh says hello to Rocky before he greets Tory.

It was damn close to being a full moon.

For Will's birthday, he got himself noisy things he could light on fire.

And then proceeded to give us a beautiful show.

Tory naps while Josh reads some Fitzgerald and cuddles with Baby Buster.

Mr. Handsome pants himself!

I was so, so sad to see the bridge that enters into New Hampshire.

Josh and I stopped off at Baker's Way for more Vietnamese before getting on the road. I got chicken lo mein, as always.

I knew this bag of popcorn wouldn't make it home...
All in all, it was a wonderful trip and I sincerely wish we hadn't had to leave (specially since Ryn was headed up tonight)!

Greetings from Boothbay, Maine!

Within the last couple weeks, between money trouble and work stress, a nice little vacation was just what I thought I needed. So for the last few days, Josh and I have been visiting Tory and Will in their cute, little coastal town.

So far while here we've gone to my favorite Vietnamese place, exploded lots of fireworks off by Will's house, had much to drink at Pier One, and ate some wonderfully weird flavored popcorn.

Since I've had recent and great thoughts of traveling or relocating, either temporarily or semi-permanently, I really just kind of want to run away here for an unknown amount of time. And perhaps I shall.

My namesake, for now
